We would head out to dollywood with y'all but our season passes are expired and it would be pointless for us to get more right now since wifey is 26 weeks pregnant. You all have fun out there at d-wood and will see ya at the cg Friday morning

Dave, if things don't change I should be at the cg when you get there.

Whoo Hoo, just 1 more day until the Smoky Bear camp out. I hope the weather will be good, but I will make the most of it!

I'm heading out to the grocery store shortly! Can't wait to camp with my buddies.

I am pretty sure you guys are gonna have near perfect camping weather!!!

The weather looks good after 12 tomorrow. Hopefully it will clear before we arrive at SB

If we make it through the rough weather tonight, we should have great weather for the camping trip. Looks like I won't be giving thrill rides in Miss Danger this year. That's why we got Dollywood tickets.

I posted my menu under "Campground Gourmet". I still haven't made it to the grocery store or the gas station. The gas station will hurt a bit.

This will be the first field trip for the new toaster oven, the new antenna, the new outside carry for gray-water tanks and BAL leveler, the newly webbed lawn chair, cooler mod with refletix on the inside, new dinette bench extension, bunk-end fan, steel safety braces, etc., Oh, and the lift system. I can't wait!

You got that right ocb-Dave. We are looking forward to meeting you and the family. It's gonna be a great weekend. Warm sunny days and crisp nights by the campfire.

I told my wife that this was our family photo. She wasn't amused.

I hope everything works out right for us to be there. Our daughter has started running a small temp. She has newly pierced ears and I think they maybe infected. Were gonna try and nurse her back to health before the trip.

I already gassed the tow vehicle up, gonna pull the camper out of the garage tomorrow and plug it in to cool off the fridge and load some stuff up. Gotta still go to the store and get some meat and s'mores stuff.


Are we doing anything like a group cook out night? If so do we need to bring anything, if we need to bring buns or chips or something we can. And no Richard I'm not bringing the beer for the corn hole championship lol.

What time are you all heading out to dollywood. We may go ahead and go renew our passes we can still and enjoy the shows and the food lol.

Dave, I don't know what time we are planning to go, but if you guys want to tag along, we'll wait around at the campground for a while. It doesn't open until about 10. We aren't in that big of a hurry to get there.

Well, I am here at Smoky Bear, with some great people. Wasn't sure I was going to make it after the storms last night. My trailer got a broken rear window due to the hail.

Cool how does the site look any down trees or anything. Were gonna head out in the morning once we get off work. Should be heading out by 8 or 9 should be at cg by 10 or 11. Don't get off till 7 am lol.

Was really surprised, the cg doesn't even look there was a storm.

We so wish we could be there!! This is the weekend for Tim's senior prom and Lisa just wouldn't let me make him miss it for this trip. But she did consider it for a very short time!! LOL!!!
I wanted to feed everybody some dessert and meet some new friends face to face. I know there will be other opportunities (there better be anyway!!).
Everybody have fun and drink a cup of hot coffee around the fire for me!!

We were also quite surprised when we arrived here around 2p yesterday. The campground did not get any storm damage, but we could also tell that Chong and everyone here has really done a lot of work keeping the place looking great!

Dar and I had a nice campfire and conversation last night at Richard's, with Tim, Donna, Butch and all the kids.

I delivered Chuck's awning lights to Tim and he actually put them up and had them lit up for the evening!!!!!WOW! Lookin good Tim!

We went to Gatlinburg today and spent several hours just walking around and had lunch there. The weather was cool and beautiful. As usual, don't really want to leave tomorrow, but have to be at work on Sunday morning...

Don, sorry you guys couldn't make it. We miss you and Lisa's company, humor, and great food. Looking forward to seeing you sometime this year.

To bad you couldn't make it over chuck weather is perfect. We had a good time at dollywood yesterday and today it is beautiful.

I know Darlene took some pics. I figure she will post them this evening or tomorrow. I only took some pics at Dollywood. We had a great time and as usual, we had family show up (my cousin, her husband and daughter) to join us. They have an older Class A, but they have only used it one time - his grandfather gave it to them. I think he may be hooked now - they had a blast.

Hey guys I just happened to have taken some pictures. I am at work tonight but I will try and post them in the next day or two. We had a good time meeting everyone. I also got the pleasure of meeting Brian Blush from the band the toleunes. Formerly of the band the refreshments and gin blossoms. You all probably know a song he wrote. It was called yahoos and triangles. But u all probably know it as the theme song to king of the hill

Dave, it was great to meet you, Jessica and Kylie. I meant to ask - when is Riley going to make his big arrival?

We all usually post when we are going to do a quick trip - plan to join us again this summer or fall.

Several of us got together last Thanksgiving there in Pigeon Forge at Pine Mountain RV Park over the weekend. We will probably do it again.

It was a pleasure meeting you all as well. Riley should be makin his grand entrance on July 26th good Lord willing. Will definitely be ready for more trips we love to camp. Hopefully if Jess is back to 100% we may try and make the trip to virginia that your hosting.

The weather was indeed perfect. If only we could order it up like that for every trip. The only problem, and it was only a problem for me, is that the kids talked me into two days at Dollywood. I was whipped by the time I got home on Sunday. Then I had a 10 hour trip to Lake Havasu City, AZ today.

I had a blast. As for the tacky light contest. Everyone was pretty much the same old same old, but for Coolbreeze. He finally had lights! Now I don't have anything to goad him about.
