Camp Bivens in "Georgetown" TN
I just got back from a night of camping out back of Alan's house in Alan's travel trailer. Wow, this place rocks. It's got everything: Swimming Pool, Free Meals, Slip'N Slide, 50 acres to roam on (on his 4 wheelers!), an old haunted house down in the woods, grass tennis court (the net wasn't up to standard though), proximity to Hiwassee River, and even an old pop-up that he let me work on (with his tools), and another that has been gutted, just in case the fun runs low.
I highly recommend it, and may take Miss Danger next time, as it was hard to sleep in that big fancy rig. Just felt like I was getting above my raise'n. Lilia and Jon-Jon went, and they ran, swam, slid, played with the cats, watched movies, rode the barbie jeep, and best of all... Got to play with Rachel and Macy. This place even has free childcare service by the delightful staff.

That sounds great - where do you make your reservations? Is it on the net or do you have to phone them?
Just kidding, but it does sound like a wonderful time. I am sure Elora and Jayda would have enjoyed those activities as well.
Alan, put in a few electric poles, some sewer lines, water lines and open up camp!!

I knew that you would have a good time. I wished that you had called me sooner, and I would have gone.

Getting above your raising? NO. Alan, was just showing you what it would be like to up-grade to.

Alan told me that with my farm-boy engineering, love of old ratty trucks, old campers and my old canoe, I'd fit in great out in the country where he lives. Certainly better than I do here among the folks with plenty of money.
You know, he is right about that.

I have a friend (he and I taught in the same system for a while) that owns a 5 to 6 acre lot directly on the river. He has built 5 or 6 power poles that have both 30 amp and 15 amp service. The area has a great pier and boat ramp. He has also built a bathhouse. The sites do not have water but he has installed one of those huge plastic workshop type sinks so you can do your dishes or maybe wash a t-shirt. We have even used it to wash down a toddler or two. I always just fill my holding tanks. He has built a volleyball court, a horseshoe pit and a basketball court. On one edge of the property he has built this huge pavilion which serves as the gathering place for the adults while the kids play. He keep a couple of grill on the deck of the pavilion as well a couple of refridgerators. He has them all set up so they are very neat and look sharp. It is a neat place and goes to show that it doesn't take a huge amount of property to create your own RV park. I would love to build one. Hey Richard, maybe you can come down and we can build us a campground one on of my fields?/HmmmmmRichard wrote:Hey Alan, do a review of your buddy's 5-site campground.
