A camper.. with no camper - UPDATE
Just wanted to give you guys a little update.
I am still without a camper... and I kinda miss it. I think this explains it best: My wife asked me if I missed my camper.. I told her I didn't really miss the JAYCO 197, in particular.. but I missed having the option to hitch up a camper and head out for a weekend trip anytime I wanted.
I check CRAIGS LIST.. and area dealer websites often.. just to see if the "right" deal is out there. I found a couple of campers I would love to have.. but I am too tight ($$) to pull the trigger. Dave (Kral) tells me I am afraid of buyers remorse (he may be right). If my wife shared my excitement about camping and camper shopping... we would probably already have one. Guess I feel a little guilty about spending the $$ on something.. mostly for me.
Anyway... I am also a little un-decided about what I want. Sometimes I wanna buy the unit that I always said I wanted.. a little bigger.. with some different things I found I wanted after owning my JAYCO. Then, other times.. I think about buying a very small camper.. just big enough for Max (the dog) and me.
So.. thats where I am.. like I always tell the salespeople at the RV place.. "just looking."

Chuck, I have a tent you can use in the meanwhile. That'll really make you want a camper.

We are wanting......

Chuck, I still do not like the idea of not seeing you and Max under your own awning. I hope that a compromise can be reached between you and your wife and a nice TT will be in your future with many happy trips together!!
Peace and Grace,
Don

I miss not accepting a beer from you Chuck. "I may have one later," mind you, "but not now."

Chuck, since you camp with the Karals a lot, you could borrow Miss Danger, as long as you get Dave to set it up and agree to fix the things that will almost certainly break during that process, Ha! My advice if you take me up on this is to be sure to spend your time out under the canvas instead of under the roof! Why test those safety braces.

If you take up this offer, then I know who has big balls in this club.Richard wrote:Chuck, since you camp with the Karals a lot, you could borrow Miss Danger, as long as you get Dave to set it up and agree to fix the things that will almost certainly break during that process, Ha! You won't have buyers remorse if you just find the right one that you are comfortable and happy with. I know you would love to have Brenda camp with you. If you can catch her in the right mood so you can get one that she would be comfortable in, that would be a great bonus for you both. Then the guilt won't be there either...Wishing you the best of luck "shopping".
