2014 Camping Plans
2014 will be the second season for camp site reservations at TN STATE PARKS.. Today, I looked at site availability, at a couple of parks, for Memorial Day weekend. People seem to be seeing the advantage of the reservation system. Although, still plenty open.. there were quite a few reserved sites at COVE LAKE and INDIAN MT.
I would like to reserve for Memorial Day weekend (5/23) at a state park.. anyone have any plans?

We will be camp hosting at Natural Tunnel. I haven't checked to see if we are booked, but come on up if we aren't.
Re: 2014 Camping Plans
Last week, we (Butch and I, as well as Ray and Karen [rconkin]) made reservations at Hunting Island, SC for the week of July 18 until the 26th. We are on sites 156 and 158. It is around $240/week.
If anybody else would like to go with us, we would welcome the company.
Hunting Island is one of my favorite campgrounds that we have stayed at. It is on a barrier island outside of Beaufort, SC. There are 200 campsites, on 6 loops, most with water and electric, no sewer. They have 8-10 bath houses that service the loops, so you aren't far away.
The only thing on the island is the state park. There is a light house that is open for touring, they have a large fishing pier and a marsh walk with pier to go crabbing.
Anyway, we love this place and can't wait to share it with the Conkins.
