The Cove Lake visitor is served with 106 campsites. All sites are equipped with water and electrical hookups, and most with grills and tables. A dump station is available, as are two modern bathhouses containing hot showers, commodes, and lavatories.

We encourage you to make reservations now! As more people have become familiar with the TN State Park reservation system.. these small parks, like COVE LAKE.. will fill up on the weekends. It looks like most sites are $20 per night. (plus the reservation fee).

This is just my opinion.. yours may vary. If its listed here.. I would (or have) camped in it. If I didn't list the site.. I didn't like it.

34 - front/across rd from lake
37 - ok
21- best front circle
44 mid cicle left side nice
45 - extra nice mid circle left side
50, 52, 53 mid circle left upper curve (52 most level, best)
57 mid circle right upper curve
58 mid circle right upper curve Chucks fav in this area
59 across from 58
68 start of top circle
69 start of top circle (69 has big tree)
71 top circle lower right (best in area)
78 top circle mid right - ok
79 nice
80 top circle mid right - long
85, 85 top circle upper right curve - 85 is best
86 top circle upper right curve - most level
87 - top circle back (power box)

We plan to attend, but I won't reserve until later this summer. Gotta watch my spending since we will be doing so much travelling this summer.

Well, we're batting .750 now. The last three were scheduled on one of my weekends off. I was scheduled to work that weekend, but, talked to my team  manager last night and moved my vacation from June to September so we will be there  . Thanks for the list Chuck. I'm looking it over and will make reservations soon.

Carolyn just broke her ankle but we will still be there even if she is still on crutches   

Poor Carolyn,  Maybe you can get a wheelchair and pull her with your scooter. Or a Big Red wagon.

Oh No!!

Well, hope she learns to get around on the crutches well. I know that can be extremely uncomfortable, but it doesn't take too long to heal up IF you follow the doc's directions.

Well guys, I just cancelled our reservations for Cove Lake! Not going to be able to make it.

As many of you know, Butch had shoulder surgery back in April and then we left here at the end of May. We had a follow-up with the doc yesterday and he told us Butch definitely needed replacement (we knew that). Anyway, guess when surgery is scheduled?

You guessed it.....Friday, September 26!!! We tried to reschedule, but the next open surgical date the doc had was October 28 and Butch is trying to get both of them done during THIS calendar year because of insurance. The doc said he would need approximately 2 1/2 months of rehab before the 2nd one could be done. If we wait, that puts us past the new year.

Anyway, I am sorry we won't be there, I definitely wanted to see you all and sit around the fire and possibly have an adult beverage. Hope you all have a great time.

Bummer you cant make it! I will keep good thoughts for Butch's surgery, let us know how it went.

We're going to have to cancel out on this one also. My mother is having surgery on the 26th and we want to be close to home. We'll miss seeing you guys and hope everyone has a good time.
