Camper storage in HOT weather.
With triple digit temps this week.. the inside of the camper is hot, hot, hot. My camper doesn't get full sun all day.. but it gets enough that the inside can get pretty warm. Do you leave windows open when your camper is not in use. Is your trailer in storage and out of the sun, exposed, covered or what?
Do you think the inside heat could cause any problems?

Re: Camper storage in HOT weather.
Mine is completely exposed and it turns into an oven even with 'normal' Summer temps. A 30 amp outlet near the TT is on my wish list.
Wednesday night we opened all the roof vents & plan to keep them open through the heat wave unless we get a storm. (Vent covers are on my wish list too but I'm waiting on a deal for smoked ones to match better.)
I'm not sure if it makes a difference but it can't hurt.

I agree.. I did open a couple of windows.. can't hurt. My TT gets sun from about noon til 5p. But its still like an oven in there. I did take flammables out,.. like kitchen matches. and melt-ables.. like citronella candles.
Re: Camper storage in HOT weather.
You bring up an excellent point. I wonder if I could slow-cook stew or something inside mine tomorrow? Just trying to find a bright side... and not having much success.
Re: Camper storage in HOT weather.
I don't really know - we are IN ours, so we have been trying to keep it cool. We have on AC and also 2 LARGE, high output fans. It's loud, but feels pretty good.
I do know that if your TT gets above 120 degrees for at least 2 hours, it will kill any bedbugs that you might have living in there!!! I read that on another forum. Thought it was kinda funny, but I HATE staying in hotels now, so I know that my TT doesn't have "cooties".
Everybody try to stay cool now.
