On the third Friday in August, the annual Bluegrass Music Festival is held from 7pm to midnight,.. at BIG RIDGE STATE PARK. Ten local bands play bluegrass, country and old-time country music. The event is free.

I have attended this event.. it was fun. We camped at BIG RIDGE CG.. its just a short walk to the clearing where they have a stage set up for the music.

Aug. 18, we will have cultural demonstrations and activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of TN State Parks. Please join us! Music starts at 7 p.m. ET on Friday. just bumping this up.. Been a busy summer so far.. Looks like this will be my next chance to go camping. Hope others might consider BIG RIDGE.

As long as the weather forecast keeps looking good.. I am gonna be there Thursday!

Yea.. rain in the forecast.. but I am ready to camp.. So I am heading up to BIG RIDGE today. Weather should be nice today and tonight. Rain tomorrow.. I just hope it clears for the music tomorrow night..

I agree. I LOVE this type of weather. Warm during the day and cool at night.
