Re: Hornsby Hollow Campground
I really am planning on camping at hornsby some weekend in july (not the fourth). I just hope I can get a spot saved on a friday if I call in that morning. I was surprized that Cove lake wasnt full up on the weekend we camped there..wonder if hornsby will be the same.

Hey! Has anyone camped at this campground more recently? My husband & a couple friends were thinking about trying it out next weekend. The pictures on the website look beautiful!

I have never camped there.. although I drove through and took the pics.. A friend of mine has camped there a couple or three times. He always calls the morning before he drives down.. and says he never had any problems getting a site. It is probably harder on holidays.Beswilling wrote:Hey! Re: Hornsby Hollow Campground
We went out to Hornsby hollow this weekend & will definitely return. I called at 8:00 Friday morning & was able to get them to hold us a spot on the water until we were able to get there about 5:00. We were in spot 107 it was a nice level spot. It wasn't very shady as the manager warned me on the phone, but were fine as we have a canopy plus a large shade tent to pop up. On top of that we had wonderful weather this weekend! The only downside we encountered was the bath house. It was rather small only 2 stalls & 1 shower. It was pretty clean, but the weirdest part was there are no lights so after dark trips were a little scary. However we will definitely return for another short weekend trip. I will post pictures I took as well soon.
