Cosby Tn Campground

Anyone stayed at the NP campground in Cosby Tn? I was reading about Cades Cove on another site and a few people were saying that the one in Cosby was much better. I was looking at maybe heading that way in Oct or to the Horse Park in Lex. Ky. Down side to both of these NP campgroungs have no showers. How does the Park System look upon the tent shower systems?

Don't really know about the Cosby, TN campground - we stayed at Elkmont last year and it was fun, but dang, it was really hard without electric. I like my creature comforts and no AC during the summer is just..........hot and sticky!

I decided that if we went back, we would stay in Pigeon Forge and get a site at Elkmont so we could go during the day and stay for the fireflies in the evening, but then come off the mtn for our creature comforts.

I really like the horse park and the kids love it, something to do all the time.

The only place I can tell you about in Cosby is Smoky Bear, where the Vol Campers have their annual camping trip. It is nice, the showers are good and the owner, Chong is very accomodating.
