Camping in the winter storm
Winter storm doesn't faze campers in Anderson County

LAKE CITY (WATE) -- Friday's winter storm had little effect on a family in Anderson County.
This may be a little surprising because they were camping. Snow-covered picnic tables were a common sight Friday night at the Mountain Lake Campground, just outside Lake City. Even though there were several empty campsites, two were occupied by the Williams family of Hamlet, Indiana.
They said they travel to Tennessee each winter to do one thing. "To get out of the snow," chuckled Susan William. From October to April, the Williams camp in their RVs. They usually find different locations to camp. This was their first time at this campground. Their 11-year-old son, Tyler, said he was enjoying the snow. He said he liked to "throw snowballs, build snowman." Propane tanks are keeping them nice and warm inside. They have plenty of things to keep them busy, including watching TV and playing games.
So far, this snowfall is not fazing them at all. "It's not bad," said Tyler Williams. "No not to me, when you come from Indiana and you get snow three-foot deep," added Susan Williams.
The Williams weren't the only ones camping. There were a handful of other families at the campground as well.
