PINE MOUNTAIN RV PARK - PIGEON FORGE, TN
We have spent the last 2 Thanksgiving and last spring break at this campground. It is at traffic light #6 in Pigeon Forge, but is about 200 yds off the parkway and over a small knoll that blocks lots of parkway noise. It's behind the city hall/police dept.
It has water/sewer/30-50 amp/great WIFI/individual shower rooms (7)/small, but nice outdoor pool, back-in and pull-thru sites, on the creek or not. It is also associated with the motel across the street that has an indoor pool, indoor hot tub, outdoor lazy river pool and outdoor hot tub. It is also on the trolley line, so you don't have to drive, you can just hop the trolley and go wherever you want to go in the area.
Each site has a concrete pad, fire ring, light and a tree. The landscaping is still small since the park is only 2 years old.
Prices are according to your site and the time of year. I think we paid $37.00/night for a pull-thru during T'giving.
I would definitely recommend it - it's a nice, quiet park.

We have not camped there yet, it sounds like a nice place to go. We'll check into it soon.

I have drivn through PINE MT.. very, very clean. It doesn't have that "woodsy" feel I like.. but the proximity to the trolly and other tourist stuff is great! If I just wanted to camp.. (ya know build a fire.. set around and relax, etc) I would go elsewhere.. but if I wanted to visit attractions in and around PF and Sevierville.. it's near perfect.

We made reservations for 4 nights.. might make it 5 and go a day early....
it will be a good jumping off point for some stuff we want to do in Pigeon Forge. I wish there was a playground. However, we are going the week prior to Memorial Day weekend and the indoor pool will be nice if the outdoor is not open. I normally avoid campgrounds that have no trees. But, I am going to give it a try. Donna recommended site #61 and we got it : ) We then head to.. yep.. Jellystone : ) for 5 nights. We will welcome the rustic feeling and thought it would be a good jumping off place to head over to Maggie Valley to check it out. The rockslide is supposed to be cleared in March. So, it should be clear by May : )
I guess we seem pretty weird going to Jellystone so often. : ) We normally do not. It just worked out that way this year. And, we really love the "state park" feel of it.. and the child friendly environment.....

I am like Chuck with the woodsy feeling but it is a new cg. I would like to try it sometime. I would also like to try out Bear Cove rv park. It is closer to Dollywood and downtown PF.

I was actually thinking about that one and looked online last night. I couldn't find a review for them on rvparkreviews.com. If you happen to get by that way, let us know what you think : ) Otherwise, I will check it out whenever I get out there next. I have not seen Pine Mountain...

I have driven through it before. It is pretty nice. It was built the same time as Pine Mtn.happycamper wrote:coolbreeze1 wrote:I am like Chuck with the woodsy feeling but it is a new cg.
