Riley Creek Campground Kingston tn
Took a drive last Sunday to check out a campground Carolyn saw during her route called Riley Creek Campground. Its a Roane Country parks and rec campground .

We expected the campground to be full but it was not, and this was after check out time on Sunday. Its a very shaded campground, almost like your under a canopy of forest. There were a few campsites right on the water that were lovely. Each campsite came with a fire ring, table and lantern post. Sites were on level gravel and quite roomy and spaced nicely apart. There is a upper section that has seasonal sites. The campground looked well maintained and did not have that "I live here" look or atmosphere, in fact one of the seasonal camping sites was occupied by a tenn state trooper. At the entrance to the campground where the host lives is a small garden shed that serves as a general store. They had a nice playground and some walking trails. It looked like they had a roped off swimming area as well. There was one bathhouse/restroom that I did not go into but it looked on the small side. Each campsite had water and electricity hook up and there were water spigots throughout the park. I would like to camp here if I could get a site directly on the water, otherwise I would spend less for elect and water at a state park or TVA campground.
