Waiting for camping weather..
Waiting for camping weather.. has given me a chance to add a couple of things to my camper. I bought a new bed set (comforter, sheets, pillow cases, etc) and a new Cincinnati Reds wall plaque. Kinda staying with the Black and gray colors inside..
thinking about getting a mattress topper.. one of those memory foam deals.
anything new for your camper this year?

Day / Night Shades
Re-strung 2 day / night shades. Who'd a thunk there was 32 feet of cording in each shade. Hardest part was getting them un-hung from the windows. A couple of old cords were frayed in each shade. Used a thicker cording which I hope will last longer

I"ll soon be getting into a problem with the floor outside of the shower/toilet. So far I've traced the issue to a faulty (leaking) valve in the toilet. Will need to rebuild a section of the floor...And get it done before our first trip this year.

Re: Waiting for camping weather..
Went out and inspected the inside of my camper yesterday. After the snow and rain last week, I thought it might be a good time to check for leaks. Happy to report.. all is well. Very dry.
Being in the TT put me in the mood to do "camping stuff." So I placed a little AMAZON order for some of those little things I have always thought about buying:

Those are some good buys. I really like our Jack pads, those are part of my set up with the camper. The hangers will be handy, I keep mine in the camper all year. the carpet is a nice thing to have, might look into that and the sewer hole stands.
I have a few new items to add to ours like a corian top to leave on the stove burns to have more counter space. Adding a key holder to the cabinet beside the door to keep our keys. A soap dispenser for the kitchen. New blankets, sheets and pillows. Three stack able shelves for under the sink. Then the biggest thing is a new floor and two throw rags.

Re: Waiting for camping weather..
I actually canceled the order for the jack pads.. I have the scissor jacks and the bottom base is too big for these pads.. would probably work.. but the bottom of the base would hang over and not be as secure as I would like.Darcamper wrote:I really like our Jack pads, those are part of my set up with the camper. Those hangers seem pretty nice.. they hook over and kinda lock onto the rod. A few times.. I have arrived at the campsite and the hang up clothes were all on the bottom of my closets. I don't like my big flowered shirts to get wrinkled.

We can't have those "big flowered shirts" getting wrinkled when camping now can we?

After much thought, I have plans for new dishes, paper plate, bowls, cups, coffee mugs...Washing dishes are a thing of the past
I might just keep two of each and all my silverware. Never could use plastic spoons and forks..

Unless we are eating steaks or something of that sort, we use paper and plastic. Steaks, we use real plates, knives and forks. I even use paper (or plastic) bowls for cereal. If I had a dishwasher onboard, I might use real, but probably not!!!
