Bears and Electric Fences

The above article got me thinking, since Tennessee is Bear Country, would this be a good idea for those trips I plan to make to the Cherokee National Forrest Campgrounds. Pepper spray is nice, but it might be like having Tobasco with dinner for the right bear. Now an electric fence? That would be something. Or am I just letting my bear phobia get to me again?

Canvas is just so little to have between me and a bear. Then again, if the bear bumped my PUP just right, he might find himself trapped. I'm hoping that's fixed now, but I would feel better if the bears were warned about the camper's past.

Dar, remember that some folks are very grouchy until they get that first cup of coffee. You might see that same bear face when they show up at your camper at 6:00 in the morning.

So I'm broke and unhealthy because I sleep till 7:30 when I get the chance? Who knew. I thought it was because I'm overweight and mis-managed my finances.
