Panther Creek Questions
For those that have been to Panther Creek, we are thinking of going down one weekend for a quick trip in the winter. Have a 40' fifth wheel and wanted to know if I could get in the park. Sites look big enough from web site and measure good. But, we have ran into problems with maneuvering in parks before. Have had to back out of loops for a distance and it is no fun.
So, any problems with roads being able to handle our fiver? Turns with trees in them that would make it hard to navigate? Able to get into the sites? Any sites you would recommend and others that might not work?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Panther Creek Questions
We have a 36' fifth wheel, but HAD a 36' TT that we took into Panther Creek and the only problem we ran into was parking at the park office and getting back out onto the roadway. There were several trees that were low-hanging and we were trying to avoid them and have enough room to swing back onto the road. Just keep that in mind, but we haven't been to the park since they did all the changes, they may have cut back some of the trees at the office. (I know we complained about them when we saw the ranger.)
Otherwise, actually getting into the campground and getting into the site was not a problem at all, and, as I said above, it was before they upgraded.

Thanks. Hopefully someone who has been there after upgrade will chime in.

I was there back in November.. after the upgrade. I don't think you'll have any problems with roads in and out of the park. And the campsite length is posted when u make your reservations. As far as the office check in.. if I'm reserved I would go directly to my campsite. .. you can come back to the office later. Or the ranger will come around and check you in at the site.

Your 40' camper will go in this campground just fine. I have seen large campers in site 9, 10, 12, 14 those are level. We have been in site 9 and had good space but we are only a 24'. Site 20 and 22 are long sites also.
