Dale's is awesome. It's by the bbq sauce in walmart. The low sodium version does not taste as good in my opinion.Everytime I grill, I use dale's.

Re: Meal Planning for 2010
sounds good. I will look for it! Definitely NOT low sodium
(Hi Gregg.. nice to see you posting here!)
Craig is responsible for the steak cooking around here. And, he always grills them outside. Craig loves to bbq. He doesnt let rain, snow, sleet or hail stop him from
using his trusty grill.
Now I am hungry! It smells good around here... I have a ham in the crockpot. A turkey in the Nesco (love my nesco. good for camping trips too!) Gotta get busy peeling a ton of potatoes...
Merry Christmas!

Well with all the good cooks we have on this board, the only I have to do is park my 5'er in between them. Then let my nose do the job So, what's cooking

Dave that's so nice of you to take care of the last 15 minutes of the Steak Prep. You say you'll take it from there. Ummmm, just how far away were you planning on taking it?

Good catch Richard. Never paid attention to how much time Dave was spending. I was wondering if he was going to cook the baked potato.

I said I would do the grilling...Never said I would purchase or marinate. I could also marinate if needed.
I forgot about the baked potato part (got myself hungry thinking about steak)... Bring the potato over when you start marinating the steak. If we have a fire going, I'll wrap it and put it in the coals for ya. If not, it may have to be nuked (microwaved). Then you can enjoy your steak dinner.

Re: Meal Planning for 2010
How often do you use your oven? Not the Microwave, but the rugular one. I was thinking of getting a toaster oven for the PUP, but wonder if I'd ever actually bake anything. I've got a camp toaster that does pretty good on the stove, but no biscuits. I have a reflector over (Yes, I'm an old boy scout) but don't plan to build a fire to use it outside.
Like everything else, It sounds like having one would be a good idea, but it's one more thing to take out and then find a place to pack away. Sugestions? Forget it? Do it?

My TT has an oven.. I have never used it. I might use it to bake some biscuits sometime.. but that would be about it. It came in the RV so I will keep it. If I were ordering a camper built the way I wanted.. I would leave out the oven.
I do like the microwave.. and use it often.

Drat, I was hoping to hear you say that you had a toaster oven that you bought for the PUP, but that now that you have the oven in the TT that you didn't use it anymore. I guess I'll head to Wal Mart
Re: Meal Planning for 2010
If I had know this earlier I would have checked the prices for a toaster oven at Walmart

I find it often cheaper to shop with Chuck first. I love the world of second hand. Hey, I know. I'll check Goodwill.

Re: Meal Planning for 2010
Tim, Chuck said he might use his oven to bake some biscuits. I notice that he didn't post a schedule as to how many he was baking and when they would be ready...

I'm thinking that since he plans every camping trip for the year in such advance and specific detail, he knows, but just isn't telling us. I wonder why? What is he afraid we'll act like?coolbreeze1 wrote:You are correct It is very helpful to have that informationRichard wrote:Tim, Chuck said he might use his oven to bake some biscuits. Re: Meal Planning for 2010
I'm willing to supply the frozen biscuits if Chuck will cook them. We've got a pretty good crowd headed for Smokey Bear.
I wonder how early Chuck would have to get up to cook enough biscuits for all of us? And then he'll have to find a way to keep them warm. What a guy Chuck is. Makes me wish I had an oven so I could help him, should he decide to do the baking.

I often wonder where you get your ideal that Chuck is fixing biscuits for everyone? He would try to give you one that is half eaten

You have a point there Tim. Doesn't that oven in your 5er need a shakedown run. You could help chuck bake them up. I might even spring for a jar of jelly.coolbreeze1 wrote:Richard wrote:I'm willing to supply the frozen biscuits if Chuck will cook them. We've got a pretty good crowd headed for Smokey Bear.

Why, yes my oven needs a shake-down run. If you supply the LP gas to run it

I got gas buddy, be careful of such offers. Do you have a baking sheet that will fit in the oven?
