Defeated Creek Park

Well I made my first reservation of the year @ Defeated Creek Park about seven miles from Carthage, Tennessee from March 13 to 17. CG was already about 2/3 full. Rates seem reasonable @ 18.00 per night. Anyone else been to this CG or want to join us.

Yes it is early and we might be in the frozen tundra, but I'm sort of adventurous    and besides we've never been this far before. If you want to check it out here's a link:

Looks like a nice campground.. plenty of waterfront and water view sites. about 2 and a half hours for me. I have been wanting to also try the CG at Percy Priest Lake.. it's even a little further.

Well we had to cancel our trip to Defeated Creek.   

Drove over yesterday (Feb 24) and it looked nice with pretty flat sites next to the lake and many were paved (at least the few we saw). Of course it was closed so we had to walk around and I'm having some knee problems so we didn't walk far.

Hope to be able to reschedule later in the season.

Thanks for the suggestion of Defeated Creek, looked it up and decided to make reservations for Carolyn's vacation in May. We will be staying May 12th and 13th in site 053 . There was a good write up on some of the sites with pictures here : http://www.rv-dreams-journal.com/2011/04/

P.S. I thought 25 dollars was not bad for full hookups sewer included!! (wonder if there is any TV reception there)
