Carolyn and I are going to drive up Saturday and cruize the resort, looks like a great place to camp. Chuck that was a nice spot you had right on the water...do you remember what site number that was?

Re: Caney Creek
I think it was site #52 in A loop... I looked at there CG map on the website. Only problem with that site.. NO SHADE.. NONE.. I think sites 30-37 in B loop are nice.. Most are waterfront and have some trees.SouthWestyKim wrote:Chuck that was a nice spot you had right on the water...do you remember what site number that was?
Just about all the sites offer, at least.. a view of the water.
Re: Caney Creek
CANEY CREEK is a little pricey too .. but it is a nice place and they offer a lot to do. I think rates start at $49 a night. When I was there they had a weekday special.. Seems like I bought 2 nights and got one free.
Re: Caney Creek
We have been going to sweetwater KOA for the "resort" type esp when they offer a nice swimming pool, and its about the same price as caney looks like...Its hard to find a campground that you have access to the water from your site..Sweetwater KOA doesnt offer that. We will definately check out those shaded spots!!! I dont mind paying a little extra for nice amenities like cable, pool, super clean showers, store ect. In this weather I definately want a pool!!!

I think you will like CANEY CREEK... it has all you want. The pool area is beautiful! They also rent pontoon boats and golf carts. There are plenty of great photos on their website: http://www.caneycreekrvresort.com/

Looks like a nice place. I was just flipping through thier picture album and saw a family from church staring back at me. I didn't even know they RV'd.
