Caney Creek RV Resort in Harriman, TN

I didn't see it on this list. A super nice gated campground. Will not allow tents (that stinks). Everything is paved, right on the lake. Can do long term stays here as well.

This was our first trip in our new-to-us camper for Thanksgiving last year. Had a great time!

If you want WiFi I think you need to get a spot closer to the pool area. We were down farther when we went for Memorial Day and I could not get a signal at all.

I have camped at CANEY CREEK two times.. It is very nice. I wish there were more trees. I also had problems with the WI-FI.. and I was right across form the pool for one of my stays. Maybe they just have a bad WI-FI set up?

Chuck, I don't know what type of cell phone you have, but I have cured the "no wifi" problem with my blackberry and tethering it to my laptop. It works fabulously great!!

I called Alltel, which is my provider and they quoted me a $30/month price for it. I then got online at blackberry.com and they had the program to download onto my laptop and it cost NOTHING!! I have been using it for a couple of months now and Alltel hasn't mentioned it and it has not been reflected on my bills, so apparently there is no way to tell if it actually my blackberry online or my laptop.

If I have cell service, then I have internet service! I have used it several times while Butch was driving down the road and I was riding (hated to say, when I was driving down the road).

Chuck I'm glad you have been to Caney Creek. We liked it a lot. Last November we were about 3 spots down from the pool (on the river side) and had no issues picking up the WiFi.

Might have to get internet for my cell phone if there is a way to piggy back it for my laptop.

P.S. the nice thing about CANEY CREEK.. that I don't think they advertise.. is that weekday rates (sun-Thurs) are discounted considerably from the weekend rates.
