Thanksgiving Campout
We are planning to go to Pine Mtn RV Park in Pigeon Forge again this Thanksgiving - probably going down on Tuesday afternoon or early Wed morning, staying through Sunday.
Anybody want to join us?

I have checked their website a couple of times.. they have no open campsites that week.
Re: Thanksgiving Campout
Really? Oh well, I'll give em a call sometime in the next few days. We have never had a problem getting a site before. May have to stay somewhere else.
Re: Thanksgiving Campout
maybe the reservation system is screwed up.. but I just checked again.. says nothing available.
Re: Thanksgiving Campout
I just called and talked to the owner and they have 38 sites available for Thanksgiving week - Wednesday through Sunday. Most of them are the pull-thru sites, but those are fine. I think Tim stayed in a pull-thru when we went down 2 years ago.
So....now, who's ready to go with us?
She said to call - 865-453-9994 - you must give a credit card to hold the site, but do not pay until you arrive.
Chuck, I too tried to do them online and it said none were available online, you must call. Don't know why.

Made my reservation today. It's a pull-thru site, I think.....can't remember what number she told me. I should get an email from them in the next few days and I will post the site#.
Hope we can have a few friends come to visit with us.

Re: Thanksgiving Campout
We are in site #38, which is a pull-thru.
Chuck, the site cost was $192.00 for 4 nights, which includes those stupid local hotel/motel taxes, plus state, plus whatever else they charge for.

I think that's better than what they have listed on the website.. there it says $50 per night.. plus taxes.
Re: Thanksgiving Campout
As I have previously posted, we will be spending Thanksgiving at Pine Mountain RV Park in Pigeon Forge. We will arrive on Wednesday, about noonish and will be leaving out on Sunday morning, heading home. We will be in site # 38. Ray and Karen Conkin and their 2 kids, new members from the Tri-cities area will also be joining us on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as my cousin and her family from Knoxville. If you get a chance, swing by the campground and visit with us. We hope to have a campfire on Friday night and again on Saturday.
If you will be unable to join us, have a Happy Thanksgiving day and we'll see you come springtime.

Re: Thanksgiving Campout
Hey Merryk.... I saw your post over on rv.net about thanksgiving dinner. Check out http://www.mamasfarmhouse.com . They have a holiday meal we were considering.
We tried to get a spot Thursday thru Saturday at the koa but they had their silly 3 night minimum. Wife likes lots of trees so river edge is out.
Still looking but we may have already taken our last trip of the year...
