Propane Tank Question
I have been wondering this for a long time.. If you pull your camper to a place where they sell propane.. or if you are at a campground that has propane on site,.. like MISTY RIVER.. do you have to remove the tanks from the front of the camper for them to be filled? Is there anyone who will fill them while they stay on the camper?
I only had tanks topped off once (on my previous camper).. I took them both off the camper and lugged them to the propane place in the back of my truck. It was a pain in the a$$ lifting them,.. especially after they were filled. And kinda hard to get them secure in the back of the truck.

re:
i think they would have to be removed because they weigh the tanks and that is how they know they are full once they reach a certain weight they know they are full

It kind of depends on where you refill at. At places that deal with RV's they can fill them while on the RV. They meter off the amount plus they open the relief screw to let them know when your full. Most class a's have tanks that can't be removed.

i bet them places just for rvs are probably more expensive just guessing though did not know they could even do that but then again untill last year never owned a camper that was made after 1980 either lol

Re: Propane Tank Question
All the times I have ever have my tanks filled I have had to remove from the camper . I don't mind removing because if at refill there is a problem I would not want any potential of a problem while in the camper. I don't know if anyone has ever seen a propane take explode but a 20lb will leave a crater large enough to burry a Dually truck in.
