Healthier versions of favorites
Hey Don, a couple of tips on the Dutch Oven healthy stuff.
Remember, don't cook with artificial sweetners, they change in the heat, turning really nasty tasting. Better to eat one spoonful of something yummy, than a big bowl of yuckiness.
Also, Applesauce can be substituted for about half of the butter or shortening in many dishes. Seriously. My wife has been doing this with brownies and such for years. It really works. A google search for "substitute applesauce" yields many tips on this.
