I bought my TN fishing License online today.. Do you bother with buying a license? Have you ever been asked (by a ranger) to see your license? Have you ever been cited for not having one?
Do you think it's a waste of money?

In all my years fishing been carded twice but just as sure as I did not have them they would and I bet the fine would be much greater than the cost of the licence. I have not gotten mine yet hope to have them for the outing in April want to try some fishing in pigeon forge always wanted to but never got to

For the peace of mind, and obeying the law, its well worth the money. Carolyn and I have been stopped twice in our boat, but never on shore fishing. Its just not worth taking the chance of being fined and your fishing equipment confiscated. They can also confiscate your vehicle if they choose. Some of the money you pay for the license goes to conservation programs for fish stocking and other programs. There is usually a free fishing day once or twice a year, it might be comming up.The fun of fishing is the stress relief it gives you, dont want to ruin that with looking out for the law Smile

I buy a regular fishing license and a trout stamp every year. The money goes toward conservation of an activity I enjoy. Money well spent imho
