Weight Distribution Hitches
Do you use a weight distribution hitch and sway control? What do you have, like and/or recommend?
Re: Weight Distribution Hitches
We have the reese dual-cam. It was more or less extra insurance when we pulled the koala with the Tacoma.
Even though we were scratching at or over payload & tounge weight on the Tacoma it still towed better than the 17 foot hybrid with spring bars & single friction sway bar.
I really like that it is very easy to hook up & doesn't have to be un-done to back into a site.

Re: Weight Distribution Hitches
Tounge Weight is 735 per the bathroom scale method. Add the weight of the bars, head, & shank and it is at 780. We're running the 800 lb bars.
Salesman though re-using our old single friction bar & 500lb bars would be adequate.
We made our best deal and then said if I can't take it home safely then no-deal.
Dry weight is 4200 and gvw is around 5700 IIRC.

We have a Equalizer WD and a sway bar, but we have that because the original owner of the camper had that! It works, so we keep it.
