American Heritage Girls
I'm the new unit leader for the 13-16 year old girls in Johnson City's American Heritage Girls (Like Boy Scouts for Girls and with a dose of Bible thrown in). Our first camping trip of the school year will be a one nighter at a local Christian Camp. Naturally, the times being what they are, there are all the appropriate two-deep leader requirements at all times. I agree completely with those rules.
Of course as the only Male on the trip, I'll be by myself. The only problem is, I can't bring Miss Danger. I have to sleep in a tent. Good thing I acquired all that tent camping stuff. Now I'll finally be using it.

Elora joined the Brownies a couple of weeks ago and they were trying to corner me to be a leader.....nope! Not my cup of tea. I told Butch he could volunteer if he wanted.
The assistant chief of police in Norton is now one of the leaders for the Daisies - yeah, I ribbed him about it, but also told him I was proud of him.
Proud of you too, Richard. That takes a lot of guts.

I'm just glad I don't have to wear the Khaki Skirt with my AHG uniform shirt.

I don't know, that might be a money-maker if you were to take pictures. Your children could sell them at church or maybe at some of your speaking engagements!
You know that I think this is great that you would do this, but I HAVE to give you a hard time about it.

You should wear it Richard. You do want to fit in, don't you?Richard wrote:I'm just glad I don't have to wear the Khaki Skirt with my AHG uniform shirt.
