Ohio Campgrounds
I am looking for a nice campground in Ohio. I am still searching and any help would be great.
I am looking around Deerfield area and a little more North West of Deerfield. If anyone has camped in that area let me know where. Thanks

Darlene.. That is my old stomping grounds.. thats where I go when I go to Ohio. Cedarbrook is about the only CG around. There are some state parks.. but not they are not that great. Cedarbrook is pretty nice.. for a commercial CG. The sites are close together.. but not terribly close. Kinda like River Plantation. Its an older campground.. so there are plenty of trees. If I ever pull my camper to Ohio again.. I will stay there.
You can see my photos from last year.. and read my review of Cedarbrook here:

Lebanon, Ohio (thats where Cedarbrook is).. is an historic town.. Nice downtown shops,..etc. Its a good size town.. so all the conveniences (Walmart,..etc) are within a mile or two. Cedarbrook is about 5 miles off of I-71. I-71 goes straight into Cincinnati.
Kings Island (BIG amusement park) is 8 miles away. Theres also a big WaterPark there called THE BEACH. Cincinnati is about 20-25 miles away. So theres all kinds of things to do.

Yes, this is the place, great pics. I like your site 49. We plan on going in August around the second week 7th to the 15th. We have not made the final plans as of yet.

WOW.. that is really wild.. I will be very near there (about 10 miles) from Aug 11-15. Not taking my camper though. I have a hotel reservation wed-sunday.
Re: Ohio Campgrounds
We are planning this trip to camp with Dave's brother (Bill) from Indiana. I thought this would be a good half way point. But I found out their drive would be two hours and ours is around four hours. Ah half way alright.

Re: Ohio Campgrounds
Know anything about Caesar Creek State Park in Wilmington except for the fact they do not have water at the site. Now what
WATER/ELECTRIC/SEWER WATER FOR TANK FILL-UP IS AVAILABLE AT STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE CAMPGROUND, 20 AND 30 AMP ELECTRICAL SERVICE IS PROVIDED AT EACH SITE AND THE CAMPGROUND CONTAINS A CENTRALIZED DUMP STATION.

Re: Ohio Campgrounds
Hey Dar - would Lexington be close to the middle? If so, Natural Bridge State Park, which is 40 minutes east of Lexington - I-64 E to Mountain Parkway, then about 10 miles is GREAT!! We have stayed there several times and love it.
Also, Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, right off of I-75 is a great park with lots to do, but they too don't have sewer (unless they have added it in the last little bit).

Re: Ohio Campgrounds
Dar is trying to add Ohio to her "states camped" map. We will be camping with my brother and his wife and we are willing to travel farther to camp with them, so they don't have to travel quite as far as half way.
The last time I actually "camped" with them was at least 25 years ago, possibly more.

Dave, if you don't want to pull that big old hybrid that far, you can borrow my Viking/Coachmen PUP. You are theone person that wouldn't need any special instructions/warnings. LOL!
Re: Ohio Campgrounds
I appreciate the offer but...I think I'll stick with the HTT. Besides, I've gotten so used to the hybrid now the Pup would almost seem like "work".

Ha, ha, "would seem like work... " no, the pup is work all right. I was hoping you would borrow it, and fix something while you had it. It never hurts to dream.
