My Doctor Visit

I recently went to the doctor’s office because of a pain in my foot. Before I could even explain my problem to the no-nonsense nurse, she ordered me into an examination room and told me to take off all my clothes, put on a paper gown, and wait.

The exam room had two beds, separated by a curtain for privacy. I disrobed, put on the gown, and waited close to an hour. “This is stupid,” I said out loud. “Why do I have to sit here in this stupid paper gown just for the doctor to look at my foot?”

From the other side of the curtain came a voice: “Don’t ask me. I
just came in to fix the phones.”

ha! ha!
