Another Fall Creek Falls SP Question
I've heard there is a not so good way into Fall Creek Falls SP in TN, and a "better" way to go. The not so good way being a really steep incline? We went to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds this past fall and went through the Nantahala National Forest with its 4 to 5 mile long, 8% winding grades... not a lot of fun, going up or down. Is the "bad" way into FCFSP like that? If so, coming from Upper East TN what would be the best way to go.

Re: Another Fall Creek Falls SP Question
This is the route we took:
take I-40 West to Crossville, Peavine Road, exit 322. Take a left off the exit, onto Hwy 101 South.
At the 4-way stop, go straight on Hwy 392, through the first trafic light (at 127). Continue straight to the 2nd traffic light (Lantana Road, Hwy 101).
Take a left turn onto Hwy 101 South, and travel approx. 30 minutes to a dead-end.
Turn left (still on Hwy 101 South) and go approx. 4 miles to Hwy 30. Turn right on Hwy 30 West.
Park entrance is approx. 5 miles on the left (at Hwy 284)...can be easy to miss.
There are no big grades on this route but after you turn onto HWY 101 it turns into a 2 lane road for the last 45 minutes or so.

You'll think your GPS has lost its mind and if you were in the desert you'd start seeing mirages but you'll get there, lol
The two lane road is pretty level so no problems there. It's a pleasant drive if you're not in a hurry. Stop at the store along the intestate for the prices aren't friendly from the locals.
