Natural Tunnel SP, VA ... Labor Day 2013

I am so sorry we were so busy. I would have loved to have sat and chat, but sometimes duty calls. But, Elora really enjoyed spending time with Rachel and they are "bug-gers" at heart. (Started to say boogers). We have 6-7 nets and several holders that are usually full of some type of insect, bug, toad, turtle, etc.

Anyway, hope to camp with you again soon.

Why don't you guys plan to attend the fall camping trip.

I am thinking about it.... Last night I was checking out what is still available for sites. Looks like all the good ones are taken I may have waited too long. If we don't get to camp, I'm going to try and make it down anyway if even for a visit and to get to meet everyone. Kind of feel like a stranger because I've never really met anyone before, guess I need to get out of my shell a little bit... If you happen to be at that store that sells the dutch ovens.... check on the price of a 4 qt with legs. My only stipulation is that its not made in china like the ones they sell at wally world.

I walked over to your site a few times, but never could catch you guys outside.... every time you or butch drove by our site by the time I saw you, it was too late to flag you down... Oh Well, I know that you guys had a job to do... We really love Natural Tunnel... its close to home and we're starting to get spoiled with the really nice level sites they have... Went down to the tunnel on Saturday night, what a difference it makes going down there at night... WOW, and that boy they had singing was really good.

I did come down to visit you right after you got there, but you were gone, then every time I drove by, I was on the way to do something or get something.

We had planned to go down to the tunnel on Saturday night, but by the time it settled down, I was too tired to go and our 6 year old was ready to go to sleep. Our girls had a birthday party to attend on Saturday afternoon and that just put me behind on getting all the things done that we had to do. I would have loved to have sat around the campfire with you guys, but we did get to visit with Rachel.

You are right, the campground is wonderful with good size sites, great hiking trails and some great activities throughout the summer.

Did you have a chance to check out Cove View campground? That's the one that is over the hill from the camp store? It is grassy and has lots of shade.

It would be great if you could make the October trip, even if the prime sites are gone. There are several of us that have kids that are about the same age and they usually all get together and play or watch movies in the evenings.

I'll watch some of Chuck's video's of the campground again tonight....

hey family man... there are still good sites left at panther creek. 42 and 45 are good.... and I really liked site #2. hope you can join us. I would love to meet your family.

I'm reserving this weekend! I've driven through several times, I don't think there is a site that I can't get my pop up on.
