I'm so sorry to hear that Crawford. We made it here safely but are having an ant problem. We haven't had ants before. After reading, we bought amdro baits, borax and home defense spray. I sprayed the outside and cords. oh well, I guess it happens. We will keep you in our thoughts. take care

Coolbreeze, it was nice to have met you. I'm glad you were able to join us for breakfast. I hope to get to camp at the group outing this fall and I look forward to the adventures to come.

Hey Jason... what sites do you like at PANTHER CREEK?.. I am reserved in site #37 for the October event. I drove through the CG earlier this year.. but have never camped there.

Chuck, We have several sites we like. #34,25 and 27. 38,40,42 along with 29-39 are also good spots. We have a 31ft camper, so we like the spots that are long and wide as well. Panther Creek has a lot to offer. We have walked several trails, swimming in the lake, although they also have a pool and play equipment area for kids. They also have horse shoes. The upper pavilion has a large open fireplace that would be good for large group outings. All around, it's a nice park. We have become aqainted with the park rangers and it has quickly become one of our favorite parks.

Since asking.. I found my notes on PANTHER CREEK SP. I drove around the CG.. stopped and walked around many sites. I try and do this in CGs I might visit. These are the comments I made.. based on what I like and don't like in a campsite. I only list sites that I would want to reserve.Jason&Laura wrote:Chuck, We have several sites we like. #34,25 and 27. 38,40,42 along with 29-39 are also good spots. Sites 2 and 4 (4 is best).. very nice, level at bottom.. creek side (no fishing) these two may be best in park
8 an 10, OK.. not exceptional (10 better than eight)
34 and 32.. nice, but kinda wet (34 is better)
25 not bad.. a little short
27 very good, long, level.. not much shade
38 very nice site.. shade, level, up against hill, upper end
29 long site.. faces showers and shelter
33, 35, 37,39 ad 41... all ok
