Do you play any games?
I have been thinking about buying one of those "Corn Hole".. or other "bean bag" or "washer" toss games. anybody have one?.. or do you know anyone who builds them?
Do you carry any kind of outside games in your camper? like horse shoes or whatever?

Re: Do you play any games?
Well when camping by yourself, it seems kinda silly to have a game to play that requires more than one person to play it.

Re: Do you play any games?
I bought one of those ladder ball games. The pvc is very thin and brittle, plus it's odd size that isn't carried at Ace Hardware, Lowes or Home Depot (and therefore doesn't exist). I may re-make one out of regular CPVC pipe, as the kids like to play it. It's harder than it looks. It's a PVC ladder and you throw a string with golf balls attached to each end "O-----------O" and try to hit a particular rung on the ladder.
I also bought one of those volley-ball, badmitton, etc. in a bag games. Fun to play, but too much set-up required. Plus, the volleyball won't go back in the bag unless you deflate it. Now that was a genius design.
My favorite outdoor activities are a hammock, my chair that is identical to Chuck's, and the grill.

I looked at those at WALMART.. glad I didn't buy one. The "washer toss" and "bean bag" games are real fast and easy to set up.. and they are an easy carry.Richard wrote:I bought one of those ladder ball games. Kinda looking at something like this.. not necessarily Dallas Cowboys design:

same reason golfers go to a driving range or play a round by themselves.. bowlers bowl alone,,. etc. You can compete against yourself and become better.. Playing a game isn't always "competition".. it can also be entertainment. sometimes you play.. just for the sake of "playing".
Re: Do you play any games?
That looks like a neat game Chuck. I can't believe they want $60 for it though.chuck wrote:I looked at those at WALMART.. glad I didn't buy one. I see. For those of us that aren't Cowboy fans, we can get the generic version for less, or just make one.
Re: Do you play any games?
So we are just playing by ourselves for the practice then

Leave it to Richard. Just let him see it and give him some measurements. Next thing you know, he has made his own, only modified.Richard wrote:chuck wrote:you can find them cheaper.. that guy is charging for the graphics. I just linked to the first one I located.

If I could carve out some time in the garage, the "corn hole" game is an easy build. Dar could sew up the bean bags. Been wanting to make one since last year....
We usually carry a set of horse shoes when camping.

A friends father in-law made a bean bag toss set for us.Someone at a campground had one and we took measurements of the set.He only charged me $25 for it.I did buy the "official" bean bags at sears .I just wanted the right size and weight.

Re: Do you play any games?
Very interesting reading the rules of the game. However, as is with most games(social) rules are made up before or during play

For once, the Clarks didn't play the "Get out quick, she's gonna collapse on us again" game. We didn't miss it. The steel reenforced lift system repairs seem to have worked.

That's a game I would rather observe than participate in, like rugby or boxing!!!

Me too, Alan, but lack of money forces me to live on the edge these days. Then again, I bought my old pup back when I could have afforded anything I wanted, so I guess I'm just naturally redneck.

Re: Do you play any games?
One of our favorite games to play is Dominoes. Small so it doesn't take up much space and not as physical(sometimes) as other games. Also can be played indoors with the A/C or if the weather is bad. Anyone else like to play?

Never have played the game. Sounds good, since it can be done in the AC.seymourbass77 wrote:One of our favorite games to play is Dominoes.
