Winter solstace

Well the winter solstice was yesterday so the days will be getting longer now, day by day. If we can get through January and February we will begin to have a warm day or two every once in a while come March. Which means I start getting the camper back into camp shape. Take everything out, wash it and put it back in. We got the camper a few small things for Christmas. A set of x-chock wheel chocks. They're supposed to stabilize the camper a little better, I hope they work half as good as the reviews say they do. Got a set of spice bottle holders that attach to the cabinet doors, hopefully keeping them a little more accessible (not rolling around in the back). Got a shower caddy to hang on the shower rod to hold shower stuff. A new fire pit, and some awning light clips.
Well, I'm ready to go now... Wishfuf thinking, but that's all I got right now...

We have done a Christmas break trip every year for the past 3 or 4 and I am really itching to get back in the camper. Alas, Butch is still healing and he has doctor appointments and physical therapy appointments every Mon, Wed and Fri through Dec and the first 2 weeks of January.

We are leaving on a cruise on Jan 31 and will be back the following Saturday, so no camping around that time. Elora has her braces put on in February, so there goes lots of $$$$.

I guess it will have to be closer to spring when we can finally get out, but with it sitting right beside the house, if it's a warm day, I will go out and spend a few hours cleaning and sorting.

Snowbirding is looking a whole lot better to me.

You all will have a blast on your cruise. I went on one way back in the day. I was 19 or 20 and on spring break. We went to St. Thomas, St. Croix, San Juan, and somewhere in Haiti, Everything was included but alcohol and gambling, and I spent plenty on both. I don't think I ever made it to a breakfast but those midnight buffets were wonderful.

Yeah, this is our 15th cruise, and we LOVE it!

We like cruising almost as much as camping.

Our first one, about 20 years ago, we had a bar tab/soft drink tab of over $850!! For a week!! It was awful.
