Bandy Creek - Astronomy event

Here's some pics from my trip to BANDY CREEK CG (Big South Fork NRRA). My camping site (C-6).. and pictures from the Star Gazing event. University of Tennessee prof. Paul Lewis presented a program called "The Sky Is Falling".. then everyone got to look through several big telescopes. Pretty cool!

I have set up on the same site at BANDY CREEK three times. I looked at some other sites while walking around this weekend.. I might try a different loop, sometime. There really aren't any bad campsites.. it is a beautiful campground.

That sounds like such a great trip. I will have to plan that one for a future trip.

So Chuck, if you are hooked on astronomy, I've got an expensive telescope (surprise gift from years ago) that has only been used about 8 times. I could certainly make you a deal that would be cheaper than anything the telescope or mail order will make you.

make? model? what are ya asking?

Let me look at it to get the details. It was about $800 new, but that was about 8 or 9 years ago. It mostly decorates a spot in the living room (much to my wife's displeasure).
