Hmmm, a camping rally at Chuck's place. Sounds good. But he's going to have to put in a lot more gravel spaces for all of us to fit. And we'll have to rotate using electricity and water.

Hey, this is only a test site, the future spaces will come shortly

I like your priorities Chuck, Truck on the dirt, camper on the gravel!!!
I think Chuck mentioned that he didn't have enough gravel to spread to where is truck is parked

Re: Camper Parking Spot
the truck is actually on gravel too.. its just older gravel that needs freshend up. Grass grouwing up through that gravel now. I was hoping I would have enough gravel to throw some on the place where I park the truck.. but I am gonna have to get more.
Re: Camper Parking Spot
final $$ info on 12ft X 50ft PARKING SPOT modification:
5 raild road ties @ almost 12 each = $60
(I used 10.. but I already had 5 in the yard from previous landscaping)
Ground cover.. about $35
10 tons of gravel (delivered and dump spread) tax and all: $217
If I had purchased 10 railroad ties.. the total cost would have been: $372
Oh.. and I gave my bro-in-law $30 for helping shovel, spread and level the gravel. He did a great job.. When I brought the camper back from Norris and parked it.. no left to right leveling needed at all.
I am very happy with the parking spot.. it makes getting in and out of,.. hitching and unhitching.. and parking.. the camper so much easier.
