New TV for the RV
Bought a new TV for the TT this weekend.. Cool had a nice 15 inch LCD Flat Panel that came out of his last RV.. I made him an offer he couldn't refuse!! Seriously.. I was glad to buy it. I have been wanting to replace the big, old, heavy tube TV I've been luggin around.
I ordered a mount for the new flat panel.. and should have it nicely installed later this week.

Re: New TV for the RV
I have been checking other installs on these flat panel mounts. It's usually suggested that you find a wall stud to attach the mount to. In a small TT.. that's not always an easy thing to do. With my JAYCO "steel/aluminum frame" I am not so sure there are any wooden studs.
Anyway.. I am thinkng I will attach it to the side of the upper kitchen cabinet. It's pretty sturdy.. TV and mount will probably weigh less than 15 pounds. I will use big washers on the inside of the cabinet to secure the mount.
Trying to place it so the TV will be visible from dining area.. then swing the mount around for bunk viewing.
I'll take a pic or two.

If Chuck got that wii console, and he hooks it to this new tv, we'll never see him outside his camper. Those things are addictive.

Well.. nearly 5 months after the original post.. I have installed the TV mount.

Yea Chuck. No need to rush into these things.

Glad you got it installed, I know how you were sweating it for 5 months.

I have to admit.. it's kinda nice having the little flat screen TV on the mount,.. up and out of the way. Before this one,.. I had a tube type TV.. that took up valuable counter top space.

I was kind of hoping you would give up on the flat screen TV ever getting mounted and I could buy it on the cheap. Oh well, back to the old-style TV.

Forgot to mention that you would need a converter box to receive the over the air reception. It will be fine on cable.

I already have one.. used it with my other camper TV. I had the flat panel hooked up and watching it while I cleaned the camper last week. Picked up all the Knoxville stations and 5 or 6 others in my yard. Perfect digital picture.
Richard.. I am thinking about getting one that i won't need the converter box for.. so this one (and the cnverter box) might be for sale!

I've got a converter box, but that's the spirit on the TV Chuck. A man like you shouldn't have to fool around with a converter box. Why, in a fine "real" camper, you need only the best!
Re: New TV for the RV
on second thought.. I may just keep this tv.. get a small mount and put it in the back bed area. then get a bigger one for the front area. With the way it is now.. if I wanna watch TV in bed.. I have to look all the way up to the front od the camper (about 6ft)! Kinda inconvenient. LOL!!!
that's what I need.. 2 TVs in a 20 ft camper.

I actually took the camera out to the camper when I finished the mount install.. but soon discovered the battery was in the house on the charger.. then didn't think about it again.
