RAGLAND CG
A friend at work highly recommends the RAGLAND BOTTOM campground in Sparta, TN.. take a look at the website and CG map. They have pictures of most of the sites. Several are on the water, or very close. The CG is about 2 hrs from my home.. but might be well worth the drive. Rates are $24 per night and they accept reservations!
Heres one of the sites:

But HORNSBY HOLLOW does not accept any reservations, to get a site there you have to go sometimes Wed. or Thurs. morning and get them for the weekend, if you go on a Friday morning it is a 50/50 chance you will get one. I live about 5 minutes from this campground. It is a nice campground but sometimes very hard to get a spot.

true.. ya gotta do some planning to camp at HH.. I would probably take a couple days off work and go down on a Thursday (or maybe even earlier in the week.) You can also call and find out which sites are available, in the morning, on the day you plan to arrive. They will rope of the site and hold it until you get there.
I have driven through Hornsby Hollow (took the pictures) but have never camped there.
