My namesake, Merrykalia

I knew it would happen one day, but we had to have our 15 year old yellow lab, Merrykalia put down. She got so she couldn't get up to go to the yard for the bathroom, she couldn't eat, she would just lay and moan. After a day or this, we decided that we must make the final decision to have her put down. I cried all evening, then got my niece to take her the next day. She was the first pup in our black lab, Ebony's, first litter and was born under our Christmas tree on Christmas Eve night, just before midnight, thus her name!!

So, now, she lives on in my user name, merrykalia.

I am so sorry for your loss.. I have been there. Two times in the last two years. But by making the decision to grant her one last act of love.. you have given her the precious gift of healing and peace. Remember her for the good times and full life she brought to your family.

I think its cool that you pay tribute to Merrykalia with your screen ID. My camper is named the "Jake Trailer" ..after my camping buddy JAKE. I always have a couple of his pictures up in the camper. He never got to camp in it.. but he would have loved it!

Losing a pet is very hard on their owner. They are a part of the family that can never be replaced.
