RV Gutters
I was thinking of getting something like this to put above the awning bag on my PUP. It's $2.00 a foot. It sure looks like it would keep the Air conditioner drips from causing a problem. Now, the drips come through the awning bag and drip along the side of the PUP. It sticks on with 3-M Double sided tape. It comes in a roll, or you can buy just the amount you want. 13ft would cover my length with a foot to spare, and would only cost $26.

Not a bad ideal, it would channel your ac run off to one side.

Hey, I thought you were going to stop the mods to the pup, and save your money for that hybrid you want.

I'm going to stop the big mods. There's no money to save at this point, but I could come up with $20 or $30 to avoid that drip. Of course, I may come up with some other way (cheaper) to accomplish this after I walk around Lowes and Home Depot a bit. I'm thinking a stroll down the weatherstripping isles.

I wonder if you could use that metal flashing? Just bend it the way you want it.

I haven't seen a single piece that long, and I'm trying to move away from funny-looking on the PUP. Well, at least from accidental "funny looking" Some sort of hood ornament might still happen.

Hadn't really thought about the size.Richard wrote:I haven't seen a single piece that long, and I'm trying to move away from funny-looking on the PUP. Well, at least from accidental "funny looking" Some sort of hood ornament might still happen.

You are bound to be able to find a Bentley, Jaguar, or some other type of hood ornament for that thing. Surely you can find something!!!! I found this on ebay for you. It's 9 X 4 1/2" I think it would look spectacular on Ms. Danger

That would be a good one Donna, but you can't just rush into Tacky. There needs to be a mostly true story to explain whatever I put on her. Perhaps a big plastic bandage with "Miss Danger" in blinking lights. Naaa, that would be a little too much of a true story.

Naw, how about one of those LED signs that the message can change, while traveling down the road.Richard wrote:That would be a good one Donna, but you can't just rush into Tacky. Hi Crawford, I need to come over and get it. I appreciate the gift. I'm doing some work in Morristown these days. I'll let you know when I'm going to be heading that way next and I'll just come on over to your place. I'm going to be in Illinois for the next couple of weeks, starting Monday, but should be heading back over to Morristown during the week after that.
How many feet long is the awning? The awning bag channel on my PUP is 11'6". THe awning I have now is 11' long. I have another foot and a half of camper top beyond the channel. If I'm thinking correctly, that means that I could certainly use anything under 11.5 feet, and could probably use anything as long as 13 feet. (I might have to add to the ends of the channel just a bit for the longer awning, but that shouldn't be a big deal.
With that awning in place, I might not need to make gutters.
Re: RV Gutters
It looks like 11Foot 5 inches here

Re: RV Gutters
That's a spot-on replacement size then, yippie. I'm supposed to be in the Morristown area on Friday the 17th, could I swing by and get the awning while I'm in the area?
I went to Lowe's Today, and found just what I needed for my gutter. It was in the guttering section. They were closing out some little white edging that snaps onto house gutters and stops the leak streaks. I got a roll of 12 Ft double-sided foam tape to put it on with. I got enough strips to do 20 PUPs for $0.99, but the foam tape was $6.97. It will look neat and do the job. I may even put some on the house gutters, since I have so much of it.

When it is Lowes or Home Depot, Richard is like a little kid in the candy store.

Thanks Tim, I don't see why I wouldn't be able to pick it up, but it's good to have a back-up plan.
