And if it didn't make it through the winter, what did you get to replace it and how much did it cost?

So far, mine seems ok. I've re-charged it with my ancient trickle charger a couple of times to try to avoid trouble, though.

I guess mine made it.. I left the camper plugged in all winter. I am not sreal sure how all that works.. so maybe the battery will be dead if I unplug the RV???

It could be fine. It really depends on the age and how it was maintained. Since you left it plugged in, it should have received a trickle charge.

Thanks for the reminder. I took the battery off of the camper after our last trip last year, charged it, and put it in the garage. I'll need to check it and top it off with a charge this weekend.

Looks like we're going to have some decent weather this coming week. I should be able to get some of the needed things done finally.

I'm seriously considering popping mine back up. Enough of this winter storage business. It's been too long since I went inside the camper. monkey

Yep! Today I hooked the battery up to my charger, It was at about 90%. It took about an hour to bring it back up to a full charge. Good to go.

Now, Where did I leave that camper??

Just kidding...

Tim, it would cost you more in gas to come get my charger than it would to just buy one. You can get a cheapie that will work just fine for under $20 at Harbor Freight.

Thanks for the offer Richard. I took my battery to the Autozone. They had a big sign that said free battery charging.

Will not know until tomorrow when I go to pick it back up. They said to let it have a trickle charge overnight.

I have come to the conclusion, that my battery didn't make it through the winter Mad I gave it a good charge, then I let it trickle charge for 3 days. I placed it back in the trailer an hooked the trailer to power. Went to Douglas Dam for 2 nights and had it hooked up to the dam power. When I got back home and dropped the trailer, I went to check the power, and it was completely dead No

If anybody would like to give a donation to the,"Buy Coolbreeze a Battery", they will be gladly excepted. Cool Sorry but it is not tax deductible No

Well my battery was nearly 3yrs old. It was my fault, I never kept a check on the water level or even let it trickle charge over the winter.

Alan, get your battery cables. Chuck, hold Tim down. We need to give poor old Coolbreeze1 a jumpstart!

Like they do on the TV hospital shows with the crash cart paddles, but ours will be a high amp 12 volt charge. This could possibly leave a mark.

The good news for Tim is that he won't have to plug in his awning do-dads (if he ever gets any), he can just bite down on the plug!

As a kid the nurse giving the shot always said, "OK, you are going to feel a slight pinch." That anticipation was worse than the shot. I always wanted the "little less talk and a lot more action" version of any medical or dental procedure.

"Tim, You are going to feel a slight pinch, ok?"
