50% Discount on Camp Sites
GOOD NEWS FOR SENIORS...
While looking at reserving a campsite this spring at Bandy Creek campground.. I ran across this information. I guess you must look at the positive things when you get older.. Here's one more:
Interagency Senior Pass for National Parks and Recreation areas
Cost: $10 Lifetime
Benefits: Honored nationwide at all Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and US Fish & Wildlife Service sites charging entrance or standard amenity fees.
Valid for pass holder's lifetime.
Admits pass holder and any accompanying passengers in a private non-commercial vehicle.
Receives a 50% discount on some expanded amenity fees like campgrounds. (This makes CG sites at Bandy Creek $11, instead of $22)
Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
Must be 62 years of age or older.
Must obtain in person.
Must show proof of age, which may be a state driver's license showing birth date, a birth certificate, or similar document.
