Best Roadside Assistance Program
For the past 15 years we have had the AAA Plus membership and we added the RV coverage when we bought our TT. I have noticed over the past couple of years that the quality of service from AAA has declined to the point that we have decided to change. My question to the group is what service do you recommend and why?
We are paying about $155.00 per year but I have seen where AAA is not very kind when it comes to servicing RV's and is limited to Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and Puerto Rico (although I am not quite sure how to pull my TT to PR ).
I have looked into Good Sam's ERS as well as Coach-Net. Any others? What do you use?
Thanks
Gary

Re: Best Roadside Assistance Program
Someone purchased a AAA membership for my wife and I a few years ago and I added the +RV to it. When we purchased our new Forest River 5th wheel they provided us 1 year of free coachnet so we have that as well. At this point, I have never needed their services and hope that I don't. I have heard good and bad things about all 3 of the major road side services for RV's so I guess you have to take a chance with any of them.

We have had Good Sam for the last 6 or 7 years and have used it many times with good results every time.

Never had to test it out, with the camper.. but I have roadside assist on my truck and camper through my GEICO insurance policy. I have used the service for my truck.. Just a phone call and everything was taken care of.

Well thanks to Chuck I checked with State Farm today and added Roadside Assistance to all my vehicles for less than $20.00 a year and yes it includes towing, jump starts, on-site mechanic and one hour of labor, locksmith service and more just like AAA, Good Sams and Coach-Net.
Thanks to everyone who replied.
I'm a much happier camper today

I would double check with them and make sure if you use it that they don't count it as a claim. I know for a fact if you use Allstate for roadside it will count as a claim on your policy. Most insurance companies report all things like this to CLUE, but they claim that has no affect on policy.

Re: Best Roadside Assistance Program
That was one of the questions that we asked today.
I have no intention of using the help ( i'm pretty handy (or deadly ) with a wrench) but it is a comfort to know it is there IF needed for a true emergency.
