Delamination in Bathroom plus Flooring
We have a 2000 Bantam Trail-Lite 21B Hybrid that had a roof leak at some point. The roof was repaired last fall. The leak created a soft spot in front of the bathroom door we think. Just to make sure that was the only leak in the camper, we had a water test done Tuesday. The only plumbing leak showed up was at the hot water heater. The floor is under delamination right now. We stopped to make sure there were no other leaks in the camper before putting in the new floor. Another thing found during this process is a staple in the shower wall that is rusty and created a large soft area in the wall. Since the camper had water in the sandwich of the floor, the water never dried up, so it stayed wet and continued to get softer. Damaged done at this point.
We would also like to replace the walls in the shower. Hoping someone has done this or has info on how to remove the tub base.
Again any advice anyone has, please share.

Wow.. what an undertaking.. Looks like good work, so far. I admire people who have the skills to take on repair projects like this. The experience you are gaining will be invaluable.

I did a search on tub leak on rv.net and there were several people who apparently fixed under tub leaks, so you might want to post over there for tips.Good Luck.

I'm with Chuck on admiring people like Dave and Darlene, and will be proud to someday be the proud benefactor of all their hard work on this HTT.

Thanks everyone. We will be putting the new floor in soon. We also have a good idea for the shower. Everything will be in tip top shape, a lot of work involved.

Hi Dave, I ran across this on a different forum. It seems like you are not the moly one that had to do this repair on this type of camper. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f46/warning-water-infultration-in-the-styrofoam-floor-7982.html . Thanks for handling that before selling it to me. My only fear is that you will change your mind and want to keep it for a few more years. Keep going to those RV shows, but don't just trade it in!
