Have you ever been camping on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Ever thought about it?

Here's a few Christmas Camping pics (on our facebook page):

We have never been on Christmas Eve, but have left numerous times on Christmas Day, heading to our destination, which was usually the beach. (Hunting Island).

That used to be a yearly ritual, with us leaving either Christmas Day or on the 26th. That was in "BE" (before Elora) and AG (after Greg left home). It was just the two of us and we would take off whenever we could get a few days off and go ....well, somewhere. After the girls arrived, we had to modify it a bit.

At the campground, there were usually lots and lots of lights, many families with young kids on new bicycles, scooters and skates. It was pretty cool and we will probably start doing it again in a few years.

My first night with my 5th wheel was New Year's Eve. Not the same I know but similar. I would imagine it would not be very crowded.

When I was little, (1st or 2nd grade) I seem to remember we did a Christmas trip.
Now, having a kid we have to keep the grandparents happy and be around on Christmas, one set doesn't camp (I forgot to ask DW that before we were married Smile )
We are however heading out this afternoon for a long New Years Eve trip, this last hour or two at work is going to kill me.
