Does anyone have any photos of the campground at warriors path. I've never been there and have read some good and bad things about the campgrounds. Any reviews from our members?

Warrior's Path Empty Re: Warrior's Path

I love Warrior's Path. There are so many things for the kids to do. Great short hikes for folks like me, and longer ones for the more adventure minded. My kids like the Marina grill. It's cheap and good, with nice portions. The lake has lots of access for fishing. The playgrounds in the campground area are nice and all, but the real beauty is the big playground across from the marina. It's amazing. If you go, plan to get there on a Wednesday or Thursday, or you may find it full. The best sites go quickly, and bigger rigs don't fit in a lot of the sites. I have a PUP, so that's not an issue for me. Great paved roads for bike and scooter riding. Bath houses are only OK, not in the league with Misty River or Lakeview RV on the bathhouses. Lots of shade in the campground though. Big rocks to climb (but not as big as Flag Rock in VA or Grayson Highlands in VA. The prices are the same as all the other TN state parks. The ranger activities in the summer are great. Best of all, it's only half an hour from home in Johnson City.

I don't have any that I've taken, but there are lots online with a google search. Sounds like Hungry Mother is great.

Warrior's Path Empty Halloween

Post  Familyman68 Tue Oct 16, 2012 10:57 am

Does anyone know if Warriors Path fills up on Halloween weekend? I might not be able to make it there till 5 if I could go. The kids are wanting to camp one more time this year so if the weather is anywhere close to being "Not catching Colds range" I'd like to try out "Warriors Path"... daughter loved the playground when we stopped for a short visit and drive through.

I will be really surprised if the campground fills up this weekend or next. They may not even have the "auxillary" loop open still. It falls off after the pool closes.
